1.

Make Love!! After all, the Caribbean is very romantic, right? Don't let it go to waste. And how better than in the rain?

2.

Learn to Surf. You will get wet anyway . . . and you will have a great time! Aventuras Bravas, across the street from Stanford's, will get you surfing in one lesson, Guaranteed!

3.

Eat Good Food. What's better than tasting the local flavors when traveling? Find the local sodas for authentic Caribbean cuisine and atmosphere at a good value! Or discover many restaurants with an international flair. Loco Natural, Chili Rojo, Lotus Garden, Cafe Viejo, Cafe Rico, Bread & Chocolate, and EZ Times all have tasty menus. And there are many others. Explore and enjoy!

4.

Ride Horses. If it's not raining too hard, riding a horse on rain forest trails can be very rewarding. Aventuras Bravas has happy, healthy, well-loved horses (same goes for the guides) with heavy-duty rain ponchos at very affordable hourly rates.

5.

Watch a Movie. What's better than a movie when it's raining? Hot Rocks and El Tesoro have nice big screens. Movies start around 6 or 7 pm. It's FREE, but they do wish you would buy something to eat and drink.

6.

Whitewater Rafting. When it rains the river action is better, right? And you will get wet anyway, right? The world famous Pacuare River is considered by many to be in the top five"best rafting trips in the world," because of its exceptional scenery, easy access, excitement and relative safety. If you can only do one thing in Costa Rica, do the Rio Pacuare! Nobody gives you more rafting options than Aventuras Bravas.

7.

Massage & Spa. The sound of falling rain is very relaxing and meditative, perfect for massage. For relaxing, magical body work, Aventuras Bravas can refer you to over 10 practitioners, whichever style best suits your needs.

8.

Drink. Share stories with another traveler in one of the many establishments. Buy a local a drink and ask what PV was like 15 or 30 years ago. Make a new friend (see # 1). For a stylish drink, hit EZ Times. Play pool at Sunset Bar. Show-off your moves at Johnny's, Stanford or Baba Yaga Discos. Enjoy live music at Loco Natural (Thurs, Sat), Maritza (Sun, Wed), & Parquesito.

9.

Read and Write. Catch up on your journal. Get a good book and find a hammock or a quiet cafe (see #3). Echo Books in Cocles has over 1000 books in a quiet jungle setting with yummy snacks and coffee. Pan Pay and Lotus Garden also have a selection of used books in multiple languages. Or email friends and family and tell them how beautiful and fun this area is. Now there are four Internet cafes in town!

10.

Yoga. The meditative rain will help you ease into your Yoga poses. And caring teachers like Kristy and Pati will warm your soul. Come to Aventuras Bravas for the latest schedules.
