Hi, I'm John.
We're in Puerto Viejo (PV), a funky little town on the Caribbean in Costa Rica - my favorite corner of the world. We can help you have the vacation adventure of your life. We arrange tours, and lead some. We rent all the beach stuff you'll need.
Oh yes, we have local experts who teach cool surfing classes --- guaranteed to get you up and surfing. We know the good surfing spots - on both coasts.
We have everything you want for a tropical get-away: miles of sandy, under-used beachs, unlimited surfing, tons of kick-back space, friendly people, good food & drink.
Near us are breath-taking, Zip-line Canopy Tours, plus Accessible Trails through Rain Forests with Exotic birds and animals. A bike ride down the coast gets you to the Gandoca Manzanillo Wild Life Refuge, with lazy jungle streams just aching for a kayak tour. Up the coast is the Tortuguerro National Park, the pre-eminent Turtle Sanctuary, wildlife bonanza and resort. I'm just hitting the highlites here.
2 - 3 hours inland you'll find World Class River Rafting (my particular passion), which by the way, is a slick way to travel between San Jose & Puerto Viejo (more on that later).
A bit further, west of San Jose, you'll find the spectacular Arenal Volcano recreational area and the Monteverdi Cloud Forests. Over on the Pacific side are more beaches, surfing, sport fishing and the upscale Manuel Antonio area. On down the coast is the Corcavado National Park -- the backpacking experience of a lifetime.
